called "ScratcHappyLand" - I never knew scratching could be so interesting & so much fun ! Does anyone know if he's released anything else, or of any similar artists ? There's a bit about him in this month's Wire magazine, and it mentions a promo-mix-tape called "ScratchCratchRatchAtch" - Anyone out there got a copy ? A lot of the stuff he scratches seem to be samples, and it got me wondering exactly how this is done - surely the source material must be on vinyl, or can it be done digitally now... ? (excuse my ignorance)< I saw Kid Koala at the latest Stealth Tour that passed thru the Troubadour here in la, and he was great and pretty damn humble too. I have to say he was one of the highlights of the show. He was the only one who actually looked liked he was enjoying himself, everyone else looked bored shitless. I don't know what else he's put out, but i'd recommend picking up anything you can find. Hopefully this time around, with Funki Porcini and all, it will be a more eye opening affair. -- qrux@anet.net qrux@boss.com
